insights, stories & healing

in practice

Welcome to my blog.

A space where I share real-life stories, case studies, and practical wisdom from my work in integrative health.

Here, you’ll find educational resources, honest reflections on complex conditions, and glimpses of what healing can look like in practice.

Principles I live by as a chronic illness practitioner:

I have always loved stories. Growing up, my nose was often in a book, and now, I eagerly anticipate each new client consult because I know I am about to hear an incredible story of resilience and strength. Each person reaching out to me is trusting me to see them for who they are, hear their struggles, and guide them to a path that holds hope and healing. I humbly accept that challenge each time I meet with someone, but I am always aware of what it was like to be in their seat — unsure if this stranger from the internet that I was taking a chance on was actually going to be able to help me.

The idea for this blog post comes from that struggle. Today, I want to share with you all the principles that I run my practice by and how I approach each and every case, no matter what your story is.

Five promises from me to you:

1. Your bio-individuality will always come first.

Your body and health history is made up of factors, proteins, experiences and deficiencies that are unique to you. I will never write a blanket protocol that I have recommended to someone else. Each case is treated uniquely in that the items under each section of your protocol will be the best recommendations I can make based on what we know about your genetic makeup, your inherited health picture, current stressors and goals for recovery.

Your special wellness plan will always include three sections of steps to take- lifestyle, emotional, physical, as well as any miscellaneous pieces we may have chatted about on our call. I believe the body was created as a spirit first, attached to a soul and is housed in a physical body, as the book of Genesis explains. It is important to me as your practitioner that we look at all areas of the body and work with it in that lens.

The best hope of recovery is going to come from that application.

2. Less is more.

I am conservative in that I will never recommend you take more than 8 physical supplements in a day. Most of the time, not even close to that. It is my belief that band-aiding a problem with supplements to limp through your day is not a sustainable, root-caused focused solution and will eventually add to your problems instead of help reduce them.

If you are coming to me with a list of daily supplements longer than your arm, you are missing crucial, foundational supports that are working with your genetic and nutri-genomic needs, guaranteed.

3. You do not have to get sicker in order to feel well at some point in the future.

Foundational healing includes targeted drainage and detox support — however, it is incredibly rare that someone comes to me ready to detox. First, we need to shore up your reserves and toolbox. I will not be recommending or supporting intense detox protocols in my clients’ journeys. It is too much, too depleting, and in most cases, takes away from the client’s goals for true health.

To ensure that, I encourage you to ask questions, understand what we are working on, and not be afraid to let me know if you are too uncomfortable as we work through specific layers. There is always something we can do to make you more comfortable. Progress should look like a steady, slow improvement overall — there will be some static holds as we replete nutrients or work to improve a certain area, but overall, you should feel marked improvement each time we meet.

4. The only thing you should lose in your health journey is your diagnosis.

Healing is possible, friends. You can absolutely get better. Partnering together means having a quality, trusting relationship where your honesty helps me guide you to the best measures to consider. I am not afraid to refer out when needed and I am always open to working with the rest of your care team to ensure you are getting fantastic care.

Medical trauma is real. Medical confusion is paralyzing. But there is always another option or action we can take.

5. The trend is not your friend.

You won’t see me recommending GLP1s, using AI, or jumping on the latest trend in the holistic health space here. I do not participate in those things myself and therefore, can not ethically recommend them to others — everything I use is evidence-based and backed by years of clinical experience and support. The trends don’t last and often come with side effects that the chronically ill or medically complex can not tolerate, pushing them further back into the web of symptoms.

I will, however, promise to point you in the direction of a modality that I think can support you: NaPro fertility doctors, a mold remediation inspection, or a healthy home builder. My network of collaborative professionals is worldwide, of the best reputations, and truly caring.

My standards are high; my standards for my clients’ care are even higher.

Searching for a new care team member can be exhausting. My prayer is that this blog post helps share more about who I am, how I operate, and my heart for you and your healing journey. If you’d like to talk further about your case, book a free discovery call today.

Yours in health,
